Fungi-tech, protein from industry waste

To make food systems more resilient and less dependent on imports, Sweden needs new solutions for year-round protein production. Cirkulär has the proven technology and industrial partners to build their first large-scale facility turning local side streams (sawdust) into nutritious protein for food and animal feed – in a closed, circular system that can operate in both peacetime and crisis (“dual use”).

However, to make this happen, new financing models are needed for innovative and society-critical infrastructure – combining private investment, loans, and public support.
