Kim Nygård is responsible for the ForMAX instrument at the MAX IV Laboratory. ForMAX is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and Swedish industry via the Treesearch research platform, with the objective to support development of new materials and specialty chemicals from the forest. Treesearch is a national collaboration platform, gathering universities and the major forest and packaging companies to forward the transition to bio-based materials. Kim will talk about the ongoing research and its implication for fibres as sustainable construction materials and healthy food ingredients.
